Water can easily damage the circuit of our phone because water and electric never work well together. In recent years, there has been phones that are waterproof or splash proof. Although these new phones launched as waterproof phone, there is still a limit to how much water it can handle.
Water damages are one of the trickiest problems to solve. It takes time and precision to make sure that no parts are overlooked. Water damaged phone usually takes 2-3 days for our technician to analyze and fix the problem.
A customer came to our shop with her iPhone 7 that has been recently dropped into water. She contacted us through Whatsapp before coming to our shop and booked a appointment with our technician. Our technician inspected her iPhone and found out that her screen was the only part not working. We completed her screen replacement within 20 minutes and dried her iPhone afterwards. She was glad that there was no major problem and she’s able to user her iPhone back as usual.

iPhone 7 Plus Water Damage at iPro KL
Our customer came to our shop and told us that previously he accidentally dropped the phone in the water. Our technician told him that we would have to do Chemical Wash on his phone. Chemical Wash is a process of cleaning the water residue inside the phone. We told him that the process of Chemical Wash would take 4 – 5 hours and our customer agreed with it. Our technician began the cleaning process for the phone. After 4 – 5 hours, our technician checked the phone to ensure the phone was in good condition. He gave it back to our customer and our customer was really glad that he found our shop that clean water damage.

Mr Jeffri came to our shop with his iPhone 6s Plus that has been recently dropped into water. Our technician washed his iPhone’s motherboard with chemical substance. The chemical substance will eliminate any presence of water and allows our technician to inspect even better. After washing his motherboard, our technician found out that the charging port and battery was damaged. We advised him to replace both of it and he agreed to it. We completed the charging port and battery replacement within 20 minutes. He was lucky that his iPhone did not have any damages to the motherboard because of the water. Any damages to the motherboard will be more costly compared to changing the parts. He was glad that he could save his money and see his iPhone back to life again. He also joined our lucky draw contest and stand a chance to win an Apple Watch Series 3. We are also giving away other prizes worth up to RM 2000 through the Year End Sale lucky draw contest.
