Let’s get into fixing the device and making this problem go away.
Firstly, we had inspected the device’s hardware components. To do this, we dissembled the device and inspected every component thoroughly. All of the hardware was working fine until we found out the source of the problem. Actually, there was some corrosion detected on the proximity sensor. The corrosion was rendering the proximity useless because the device is unable to detect it. We had no other choice but to replace the proximity sensor. Moreover, we told her the problem and the cost to fix the problem to Ms. Wong. She agreed to it and just wanted to get her device fixed. Then, we replaced the proximity sensor and tested the device. The device was working fine and we reassembled the device. Finally, we inspected the device for the last time and returned it to her. In short, we were able to pin point and fix the problem within one hour.
