Hello everyone! For today’s article I would like to share with you about Apple’s greatest software launch that every Apple users have been awaiting for, which is the iOS 13. In recent post I have shared with you just a glimpse of what iOS 13 has stored for all fellow Apple users.

iOS 13 will be released this fall which is in September, but the public beta version will be released in July. Today I would like to discuss further about some of the features available in iOS 13. First of all, I would like to explain about the performance improvements of the iOS 13 from the previous version iOS 12.

Features available in iOS 13

For iPhone X, XR, XS and XS Max will be experiencing a whole new faster Face ID detection and smoother operation as the detection is made, and to be exact 30% more speed. iOS 13 will give you a faster app launching as well, which is two times faster than previous version. The new theme which is the Dark mode, as you all may heard of this feature will be available in the iOS 13. This will give the users a different look of the background of Apple’s apps.

In addition, iOS will also provide Dark Mode API which allows third-party developers to use dark mode on the iPhone. It is only at the tip of your finger to choose whether in Light mode or dark mode and it is easier to access as it is located at the Control Centre so that you will not have to go to Settings to switch between the modes. Another performance improvements made into the iOS 13 is a quicker sign-in process which you are opted to choose between the three, which one of them is a new option named “sign in with Apple”.

By choosing this you can sign in with using Face ID or Touch ID, without having to manually type your password that is quite time-consuming. Now let’s move on to the next one, iOS 13 has more secure privacy features, one is which you will get notified for apps that are currenly using your location. It will also show you of how much the location data is collected and contributed to. For example, on social medias such as Twitter, you can disable the location metadata from your pictures.

There are also new features will be introduced in iOS 13 which is the Find My feature. This may be sound similar to the existing Find my iPhone and Find my Friends. Surprisingly, Find My is literally both of them combined. With Find My, you can actually find your iPhone without having the internet connection. This is possible as it uses Bluetooth connection in order to find the location of the phone.

As far as you all may know, your phone gives off Bluetooth signals in the form of a public key so that it can be detected by Apple devices such as your iPhones or iPads relaying the signal back to the phone for you to find it. Note that the signals sent by your missing phone can be detected by any Apple devices, check its location and encrypt the location using the public key. Moving on, there are numerous of changes of the initial features and one of the obvious is the App store.

App store in iOS 13 will have a new “Arcade” tab, replacing the “Updates” tab whereas “Updates” will be sorted in a different menu. The mute button is experience some minor changes too which is the logo representing the silent mode. The newer updates of the mute button will display “Silent Mode” either it is on or off at the top of the screen instead of in the middle.

Last but not least, I would like to list the models that are available to experience this iOS 13 which are iPod touch (7th gen), for iPhones are SE, 6S, 6S Plus, 7, 7 Plus, 8, 8 Plus, X, XR, XS and XS Max. For iPads, the models are all iPad Pros, iPad 5, iPad 6, iPad mini 4, iPad mini 5, iPad air 3rd gen, iPad Air 2.
