    How does the Touch ID work?


    On iPhone and iPad, a steel ring surrounding the button detects your finger and tells Touch ID to start reading your fingerprint. The sensor uses advanced capacitive touch to take a high-resolution image from small sections of your fingerprint from the subepidermal layers of your skin

    A customer came to our shop with his iPhone 7 that has a problem with the touch ID. He consulted us through Whatsapp and asked us for a solution. Normally if touch ID is unable to be used, there is nothing can be done. But if the touch ID cable is broken, then it can be fixed. The touch ID module is connected to a cable through the backlight and the backlight is connected to the motherboard. We told him that his touch ID is working fine and he just need to replace the backlight. He was glad to hear it and agreed to replace the backlight. After completing the backlight replacement, we could see that he was really glad to be able to use the touch ID again.
