    Our customer often asks us “Why my iPhone cannot charge?”, “Why my iPhone charging port is not working?” and similar questions to this. There are several reasons for iPhone cannot charge or iPhone charging port problems. Nevertheless, some of these steps and tricks can be done by yourself to fix iPhone charging problems. Our technician are more than capable to repair iPhone problems since we have been operating for more than 5 years.

    So why iPhone cannot charge? How to overcome iPhone charge problem?

    1. Try to perform hard reset on your iPhone. This might flush out the problem in the software that is disabling iPhone charging.
    2. Double check your charger cable and adapter. Try using another charger cable and adapter if the to be 100% sure.
    3. Remove any debris from the charging port with something small like toothpick etc. Be careful while prying the debris out and do not damage the charging port in the process.
    4. This method is quite similar to the first, which is to restore the device. Enter DFU mode on the iPhone, then restore it using a PC etc. This is another way to remove the problem in the software.
    5. Worst case scenario when none of the above method works, send the device to a repair center. We highly suggest not to replace the charging port by yourself because it is more complicated comparing to battery and screen. Nonetheless, if you are up for the challenge, try replacing the charging port.

    What is a plugin ?

    Plugin is the component that allows your device to be charged, connects your speaker to the motherboard and in older models, audio jack. Basically it is located at the bottom of the device and also known as charging port. The charging port is connected to the motherboard through the plugin. If you are unable or cannot charge the iPhone, iPhone speaker is not working, the plugin might cause the problem. Moreover, the process to replace iPhone plugin is simple and only require 15 minutes to be replaced.

    Mr. Dayat comes to our shop with his iPhone 13 pro that has been dropped into pool. The water has damaged the device and the iPhone cannot be charged currently. At this point, we are suspecting the plugin is causing the issue. Firstly, the iPhone is dissembled and every component is tested. In short, the plugin is malfunctioning and we have to replace iPhone plugin. He agrees to it and proceeded on waiting at the waiting area. Additionally, beverages are provided at the waiting area. Secondly, the faulty plugin is removed and replaced with a new one. Next, the device is reassembled and tested before returning it back to him.

    Mr Jaymie came to our shop with his iPhone 7 that cannot be charged. He noticed it when he was unable to recharge after the battery runs out. This problem is always related to the charging port or motherboard. Either way, we tested the charging port and it was working well. That bring us to the motherboard, we checked on the charging IC on the motherboard. It was the charging IC that was malfunctioning and needed to be replaced. Next, we told him about our discovery and he agreed on replacing the charging IC. After that, we removed the charging IC by applying heated air around the charging IC. Then, the device was reassembled and tested the device thoroughly. Lastly, the device was working normally and we returned the device back to him.

    A customer contacted us through Whatsapp and told us that she is facing a problem with her iPhone 6s Plus. The problem was that she is unable to charge her iPhone sometimes. She also added that she is unable to use the headphone jack. We told her that she only to pay for charging port for both of the problem. This is because the charging port comes together with the headphone jack. She was glad to know this and decided to drop by our shop on the next day. On the next day, she came with her iPhone 6s Plus and asked us to perform the repair. Our technician replaced the charging port within 20 minutes and run few tests. Performance test are done to make sure the charging port is working fine with no problem. She was glad that we were able to repair her changing port within short amount of time.

    How to fix iPhone clogged charging port ?

    1. Remove any debris from the charging port on the bottom of your device.
    2. Restart your iOS device.
    3. Try a different USB cable or charger.
    4. Make sure that you have the latest version of iOS.

    A customer came to our shop with his iPhone 7 Plus that has a charging issue. We explained to him that this problem might be a motherboard issue or a faulty charging port. After explaining to him, our technician inspected his iPhone and found out that his charging port not working properly. He insisted to us to replace his charging port. We proceeded to replace his charging port as per his request. The replacement process took around 15 minutes and his charging port was working perfectly afterwards. User need to bear in mind that wireless charging does not support fast charging yet. Phones that does not have wireless charging enabled, it have a charging port. This charging port will transfer the power received from charging cable to the motherboard.

    Why sometimes I cannot charge my phone ?

    This is because there is some dust in the charging port. This dust will block the charge sometimes. This dust can easily be removed by plucking it out.

    Our customer came to out shop with his iPhone 6s that cannot be charged. Our technician always check if there is any dust in the charging port for this kind of problem. The charging port was cleaned and the problem still persist. Our technician did some further checking and found out the charging port is not functioning. The customer decided to change the charging port. The replacement took around 20 minutes and he was happy with our quick service.
